Organizational Learning for the Lean Enterprise

Participants will be able to:
  • Discuss the systematic difference between a mass production system and a lean system
  • Define at lest four of the six adult learning principles
  • List the effects of an organization’s culture on learning
  • List the basic collaborative communications principles of a lean enterprise
  • Develop a structure for continuous learning
  • Develop synergistic teams
The focus is on learning as a normal part of work. Lean enterprises continuously seek to learn and improve all processes to contribute value to their customers. The participant will understand the role of lean thinking in the lean transformation, investigate the structures that guide behavior, and build the cultural foundation for sustainable change. Instructional strategies and learning theories are foundational principles for course materials.
