Controlled Atmosphere Brazing (CAB) process is a state of
the art manufacturing process for compact aluminum heat
exchangers. The determination of process settings is an
important engineering task. Providing deterministic links
between these settings and good integrity of brazed joints
is crucial. This research program involves experimental
and numerical studies of temperature uniformity of a complex
porous-like heat transfer surface exposed to conjugate
radiation and conduction heat transfer.
